Here’s a little riddle. It is claimed that 98% of the people are incapable of solving it.
- There are five houses. Each painted in another color.
- Each house is inhabited by a person who works in a certain role in a software project.
- Each inhabitant favors a certain programming language and reads a particular magazin. Also, all inhabitants keep their own pet.
- No one uses the same programming language or reads the same magazin. The pets are diffrent, too.
Hints:
- The software architect lives in the house, which is painted red.
- The project leader keeps a dog.
- The test coordinator favors C, as a programming language.
- The green house is located on left of the white house.
- The inhabitant of the green house prefers Java.
- The person, who reads the “iX” magazin, also keeps a bird.
- The inhabitant of the house located in the middle favors Ruby.
- The inhabitant of the yellow house reads “Java-Magazin”.
- The analyst lives in the first house.
- The reader of “Objekt-Spektrum” magazin lives next to the guy who keeps a cat.
- The person who keeps a horse lives next to the one who reads the “Java-Magazin”.
- The reader of the “Java-Spektrum” magazin also favors Perl.
- The analyst lives next to the blue house.
- The developer reads the “Computerwoche” magazin.
- The reader of “Objekt-Spektrum” magazin has a neighbor who likes Fortran.
The question is: Who keeps the fish?

Für alle itemiker: Die Lösung hängt an meiner Bürotür gleich neben dem Bild von Tim Wiese.
Warum hast du ein Bild von Tim Wiese an der Tür hängen? Das erschreckt mich doch jetzt ziemlich.

Würde das Rätsel gerne erweitern um die Frage: “Wie heisst der Fisch?”
Wer das rauskriegt, bitte Lösung bloggen!
Auch eine schlaue Chemie-Ingenieurin findet es heraus:Der Entwickler wohnt im grünen Haus, liest die Computerwoche, programmiert in Java und hält den Fisch.

Antwort zu Sven: Deswegen kam mir das Rätsel so bekannt vor. Anscheinend sind Raucher echt nicht mehr gesellschaftsfähig oder politisch korrekt… Genauso wir Menschen mit Migrationshintergründe usw….
Ich habe übrigens da Rätsel ganz altmodisch mit Excel gelöst (Ingenieure sind halt pragmatisch).
